First time on the track this season - beautiful weather, finished, didn't break anything, wasn't dead last, and won our entrance fee back - couldn't ask for a better day. Nothing like the sound of engines revving on a summer night! Finished 11th of 14. Didn't get to see the Enduro race as I had to get home for a midnight maintenance window (bummer part of being in IT), but it sounds like fun, and I think the garage is going to get another vehicle soon...

As always, we had a wonderful time at The Duck chasing the checkered flag. On a more somber note, keeping the Dearing family in our thoughts. Missed racing last weekend. Wish we could be at the track more; alas, while we'd like to run our lives around racing, that's not possible at the moment. Still, it is the best thing since sliced bread when we can do it!

Apparently some of the earlier races did not really count points, so we don't have as many as we thought we did. Still, the standings as of today still has us running with the pack. They won't be running our class this weekend, though. I imagine they are going to eventually cut our class since there aren't enough of us each week to make us profitable. That would be truly sad as the track and facilities are looking awesome, and we are really enjoying running there.
BTW, you sharp looking modifieds... we might be chasing after you, next season... got something brewing in the garage...
Not bad for running with a faster class of cars. So far, since he was the only one running in his class, I guess that makesK&D Racing the points leader, LoL!

Well, the Declaration of Independence didn't guarantee happiness, only the pursuit thereof. And pursue, we did, but alas, our pursuit this Fourth of July weekend was dramatic and very short-lived. The car can be repaired, however, but we are probably off the track for a few weeks now. Bummer. Watch our video of Camaro vs. Wall.
Couldn't even go down to the track at intermission and hang out with the drivers and fans. But no human bodily injuries - just injuries to the vehicle and our pride! DNF - Did Not Finish - being pushed off the track sucks. No points this week. Still, as long as no one gets hurt, a bad day at the races is still better than a good day at the office!
We've been experimenting with camera location. So far, we've tried front-from-inside, outside-rear (Brad's camera, thanks for the loan!), over-drivers-left-shoulder. Kind of worried about putting it in the outside as it's our new toy, but I think our next location may be on-the-roof-facing-forward. It was a bit pricey, but we are definately enjoying our GoPro Hero camera... and the software and computer that we bought to go with it!
Going to miss some races due to repairs, National Guard duties, and vacation, but hope to see you at the track soon!
